    "Apart from the minor points mentioned above, which did not really inconvenience us. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at the hotel and would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff and owners for a very pleasant stay." (107511920)

    Friendly and polite staff, room was very clean and secure with ample facilities. Wireless network within hotel was also a very welcome extra.

    No bad points to speak of, only unsatisfactory point if any, was only one pillow for myself and my wife on the bed, with only one other spare. Also we were unable to locate any sky television channels.

    Staff were really helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

    Disturbed in the night by drunk and noisy guests in the corridor but staff dealt with the problem.

    Easy access for concert and town centre to shop - all with in walking distance ( 10 minuites )

    Although extreamly clean and functional the bathroom was very small

    Cleanliness and position of hotel near main road and concert venue we were visiting

    Room was cold due to ill fitting window - very drafty also heater when on had very little thermostatic control so room got too hot.

    Very near to the city centre. Cheap and acceptable. Good breakfast

    No lift and we were om 2nd floor, and had to carry luggage up the stairs. Very hard bed and a strange heavy duvet.

    "I do not feel that some of the previous reviews are fair about this hotel. Yes the hotel rooms are small and the shower and toilet area is very small however the room was clean and for £60 per night what do people expect. It was very accessible to the town and the MEN Arena with free parking on site. It was suitable for a short stay and would use again." (97241747)

    very basic. Lots of noise in bar and group of rowdy men drinking - was a little disconcerning for solo female traveller

    Handy for City Centre & decent breakfast

    Stayed 2 nights, room not cleaned although we left room for the day a 11:30. Told reception not to bother but just made sure we got clean towels for following morning.Staff apologetic but no compensation offered - a complimentary breakfast wouldn't have gone amiss!

    "The hotel is central and convenient to the City center. Its a typical Travelodge type hotel so it was very basic. The hotel was very clean and staff friendly. The room was very very small with The tv at ceiling height and very small. I felt the price I was charged for the Saturday night was over the top and would not paid this price again." (97163990)

    "As we only stayed one night it was bearable, the room was extreemly small for 2 adults and a small child let alone the 3 adults it is supposed to accomidate. The Bunk bed was hanging off the wall and the mattresses were so thin you may as well have been sleeping on the hardboard the beds were made from. The top floor had a strong smell of tobacco."     I was pleased where it was located and it was nice and clean. I was glad there was a car park.

    The room was quite small and the hotel was quite old fashioned compared to others in the same price range. They also over did it on the air freshners in the hotel!

    Value for money

    Bathroom needs updating, bed were hard and lack of pillows, but to visit for a night it was fine.

    There is a bible for me to read

    "this is a very very poor hotel. it is more of a hostel then a hotel, but the cost is more like that of a 3-4* hotel. the location is good, very close to the attractions etc, but this is the ONLY redeeming feature. the staff were nice enough but very slow and didnt seem overly bothered with helping. the food was so bad (and over priced) that i can still make my self feel sick by thinking about it. the drinks were warm, and flat. all in all this is not somewhere i will recommend, or ever stay in again."     "I was guaranteed an early check-in at 12.00. I arrived at 1.00 - room not ready. Hotel advertised itself as 5 minutes walk to MEN Arena which is one of the main reasons I booked it as I am partially disabled, we followed the receptionists directions and it took at least 20 mins - a thoroughbred racehorse couldn't have done that distance in 5 mins!!! Room was poor value compared to Travelodge rooms. Staff couldn't have cared less whether we were staying there or not and were totally unhelpful. I would NEVER stay there again - I'd rather sleep on the streets of Manchester!" (97878746)

    Location, near to MEN Arena

    Poor shower, too small. States sattelite TV but very limited channels. Not great system for locking rooms and having to hand keys in over reception when leaving hotel in evening, didn't feel as though my room was secure in doing this.

    The room was adequate and clean - no frills

    The room was on the small side for 2, had to use the bed for a chair as only 1 provided. Room on 2nd floor and no lift - not helpful when carrying a lot of baggage.

    Convenient for the MEN Arena, where we had tickets for a concert.

    The bedroom was clean, although spartan, it was a double room and needed another chair but the bathroom was shabby, dirty grouting around the bath, the bath panel cracked, toilet seat chipped and wash basin cracked.

    "Location very good for City Centre and M.E.N. Arena. Plenty of car parking space. Only two floors, but didn't see a lift and wasn't directed to one after check-in, we were on first floor so didn't need one anyway. Double room a bit small but had adequate facilities. Has electric heating, which you switch on yourself, glad to say room soon became too hot so had to turn it down a bit. Breakfast available at seperate cost, full English or Continental, both ok. Was alright to leave car on car park after check-out while we did a bit of shopping in the Centre. Overall, ok for one or two night stay." (97283624)
