    The hotel is currently (Nov '08) a building site undergoing rebuilding on its main facade. My use of the room during the day was accompanied by noisy construction machinery, impossible to conduct business phonecalls. I found the front desk staff unnecessarily defensive by resorted to quoting Terms & Conditions when asked if I could have the room from noon/early check-in. They did however permit me to check-out late on departure.

    "The hotel is being refurbished but it was in fact more like a building site. Work starts on site about 7.20am and continues all day.Our room was above the laundry room so also had noise of washer and dryers." (97229881)

    "The staff at the front desk were extremely rude and unhelpful when asking about advice to get around Dublin, my room, etc. The room itself didn't have hot water so I washed my hair in the sink." (97386560)

    disappointed that on arrival we were told that no breakfast had been booked, upon checjking our reservation the next day we were told that it had been paid for. In fairness they did take the price off the evening meal.

    Good location for part of Dublin we wanted to visit. Free Car Park Plenty of pleasant, efficient staff

    Just one minor point - hotel being refurbised so entrance, reception etc in temporary location - made hotel difficult to find.

    "The location of the hotel is perfect if you do actually want to get some sleep at night. Perfect for families with children but also welcoming to all guests. Reasonably priced and the internet directions were spot on. Easily accessable by public transport. Over all the perfect place to stay." (97809217)

    Easy to find. Well priced. A nice distance away from the city centre where you are not to far away from the town but far enough away from all the bars so you can actually get some sleep.Friendly and helpful staff. Clean despite all the renovations work.

    "We were pleased to discover that Heuston station was so near as we would have caught the bus from the Airport rather than spend 40Euro on a taxi had we known. The young receptionist checking us in and out was not particularly friendly and did'nt smile. That would have made a difference to us especially upon arrival as receptionist are your first point of contact and give the first impression afterall.Having said that, another girl was smiley behind the desk but unfortunately she did'nt deal with us!"     We were at the front of the hotel and the room was light and airy. there was plenty of room.

    Our freinds room was darker and a bit gloomy as it was at the back of the hotel and looked out onto a building site area. In our room we had no working shaving light and the beds were quite hard.

    "overall our staty was very good, there were 22 of us booked into the hotel and everyoen gave it good ratings - cleanliness, friendly staff. A bonus if you are going on the 'open top ' bus tours which stop within a 2 minute walk. The tram was easily accessible and reasonably priced." (99533216)

    everyone was friendly and made us feel very welcome. The rooms were large and spacious, all of our party had also been allocated rooms on ht esame floor which makes a nice change !

    we booked for 4 people in one of the rooms but everything was caterd for 3 - towels, cups, glasses. Despite asking for extra at reception, they never arrived. Also, three beds were made in the morning, the fourth was left unmade !

    THE HOTEL WAS EXTREMELY CLEAN AND PROVIDED A LOT OF FACILITIES, THE STAFF WERE ALL VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. IT IS DEFINETLY THE BEST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED IN AND WILL CERTAINLY USE IT AGAIN AND RECCOMEND IT TO OTHERS.

    The situation of the hotel was excellent. Very easily assessible. Travel to and from the airport very convenient. Room was comfortable.

    It did not appear to have air-con. in the bedroom, so it was necessary to keep the windows open, which made it a bit noisy on Sat. night.

    The hotel was clean and tidy and the breakfast was very good. I also liked the fact that this hotel was not in the centre of town, but close enough to walk into town.

    We were a group of more than 30 people, so got a very good price. Good standard, helpful staff.

    Always prefer handheld showers, not fixed ones.

    "l'hotel devrait etre muni dadaptateurs pour les appareils electriques(chargeur telephone, appareil photos ...) dans la mesure ou les prises sont anglaises et il n'y avait pas de chauffage dans la salle de bain.     "The hotel is situated away from the hustle and bustle of Dublin city centre but is easy to reach with the Luas(tram) going past the front door and the stop being 400m away. Ideal for families as the hotel is quieter than those in the city centre, maybe not as good for the all night party people.     The hotel is clean and staff are friendly. The check in and check out are quick and efficient. Easy to get to from the city centre. Family rooms are spacious with proper beds not sofa beds.

    Pleasant atmosphere and food quality

    Room looked out onto the back of a wooden fence .... ok, understand the security reasons, however this area could at least be made clean and tidy ..... I would not leave window open for concern about what might crawl in ! Lack of tea making facilities.

    "We stayed for a New Year's break for 2 nights, and on the 30th. December the residents bar closed at 12.15, the option was to purchase drinks from a vending machine at grossly expensive prices. We returned to the hotel at 1.a.m on New Years Eve, and the bar was already closed. This is hardly customer service, and not what you would expect on New Years Eve. Apart from the overpriced vending machine, there was also nowhere for guests to sit even if they bought the drinks, as the lounge area was inside the locked room. Otherwise no complaints regarding the hotel and staff." (99680241)

    Room was bigger than expected and very nice. Great location right on Luan line with pubs nearby

    Our hotel room was clean, the hotel is centrally located with most convenient public transportation opportunities, (street car and city bus are within a 2 min. walk). The city center can be reached by foot in less that 20 min. walking along the river Lifee.

    The only negative point I have to make, is that our room, number 115, ground floor, is situated with windows directed at a wooden fence approx. 3 meters high. Absolutely no, (0) view. However we did'nt spend .much time in the room anyway. We came to see the city of Dublin.

    "We called in for tea before catching the train to Kerry in the late afternoon. Only one member of staff on duty in the bar doing both food and drinks, he was very busy and the food took a long time to arrive. We did offer to go into the resturant but it appeared to close around this time. I would recommend this hotel but not room 525." (3304581480)

    The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. Size of the family room, double bed and two single was realy good.The location was good the links into town great.

    The bathroom in our room had a realy bad odour, not one of us could remain in this room for any length of time without the door being open.

    "The staff at the hotel are genuinely helpful (in true irish fashion). All the public areas are well presented and the room (large triple) was spacious and clean. The only slight downside was the coach party arrivals and although this did not actually cause any problems on our short stay, it isn't everyones cup of tea.     Lovely clean hotel,rooms were lovely and very spacious,food and dining area was exellent.

    There was only one receptionist on reception when we arrived to check in and she was continuously interrupted by phone calls while dealing with us,felt she could have used some help.

    "My only reservations about staying here again is don't attempt it by car as getting to where I want to go in the morning. The traffic is horrendous in Dublin. And the hotel is difficult to locate as can only be approached from one side. Since the local tram stops outside the front door, this is the best option." (3008154)

    Very quiet, so was able to get some sleep. The food was of a very high standard.
